Michael T. Bateman, Board Member

During Mike’s career, he spent time as: An Automotive and Retail Manager, a Cost Accountant, and seven years as a Retail Business owner.

After Mike received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Sciences from Redlands University, he worked twenty-five years as a Cybersecurity Expert for HRL Laboratories in Malibu California, and Northrup Grumman in Woodland Hills California. Mike managed multiple large projects in securing both internal and external computer data on highly specialized contracts for the government.

While visiting friends in Prescott during the spring of 2017, Mike and his wife Trisha fell in love with the community and the early American friendliness that accompanies the “Old West” persona of the Prescott. A year later, Mike retired and became a newly transplanted Prescottonian.

Now that Mike is retired, he is interested in becoming an active member of the Prescott community. Mike has recently become a member of the Phippen Museum with plans to obtain memberships to the other museums in the area. Mike has volunteered to work with the 2019 Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering, and is awaiting his acceptance to the Arizona Territorial Society.

Presently, Mike is assisting with the build out of the Western Heritage Center and is enjoying working with the wonderful people who have come together to bring this idea and concept to fruition.
