Stacy Bonomi, Board MemberStacy and her husband Joel (retired first responder) chose Prescott for retirement after visiting the town and surrounding areas for many years. Their love for western history and culture made Prescott the perfect place for retirement.
Stacy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in finance and a secondary single-subject credential in business. Her career spanned retail, banking, education and working with small businesses. Stacy’s career spent in education included teaching business and software courses at the high school and junior college levels. She also spent many years volunteering in computer labs, designing and maintaining learning expectation boards and decorating for special events. Stacy also served on education related advisory committees. A descendant of a ranching family, Stacy’s ancestral roots date back to the 1800’s in Wyoming and Montana. She was naturally drawn to the Prescott Western Heritage Center because of their dedicated volunteers and its mission to preserving Prescott’s unique western history. The Center’s desire to educate the public on Yavapai County’s heritage serendipitously cemented Stacy’s two great passions—preserving western culture and education. Stacy volunteered for the 2019 Prescott Western Heritage Center fundraiser as well as decorated the Center for both Acker Night and the Christmas Season. |
