Jan Bracciale, Board MemberI am originally from the small town of Pekin, Illinois, and came to Arizona in 1976. I met my husband, Tony, through friends at work, and we got married in December 1980. We have a daughter who lives in the Phoenix area.
During my working career I was as a legal secretary with two Phoenix law firms from 1978 – 2021. I assisted with real estate transactions, corporate merger and acquisitions, and forming limited liability companies, joint ventures, and corporate non-profit companies, to name a few. I retired in December 2021. Tony was a high school teacher, football and wrestling coach, and driver’s education instructor at Peoria High School for 30+ years. We lived in the Glendale, AZ area since 1978, and also had a vacation home in Munds Park, near Flagstaff. When my retirement date was close, we decided to downsize to one home, but knew it had to be in Northern Arizona. After visiting Prescott, we knew this was the town for us! Dealing with selling and buying houses during the 2021-2022 real estate frenzy was difficult, but we finally moved into our home in The Ranch at Prescott in May 2022, and we love it here. We are members of Solid Rock Christian Fellowship church, and are involved with group activities, helping with the homeless ministry, and I am in a few ladies’ groups. I also enjoy hiking in the forest lands and lakes in the area, and love seeing the wildlife that roam through our neighborhood. I keep my camera by the door at all times! The Prescott Courthouse Plaza area has a wonderful hometown atmosphere. We have been very impressed with the parades, festivals and music events held on the plaza, the 4th of July week events and rodeo, and the wonderful Christmas celebrations!. The first time we visited the Western Heritage Center and had a tour, and were intrigued by the area’s history and stories told. It was mentioned several times that, “we need volunteers, why don’t you sign up”, so here I am! I have lots to learn but it is exciting hearing all of the stories and history of the past days in Prescott! Photography has been a hobby for the past 20 years, and I now have time to pursue my passion. I am very happy to provide my photography assistance to the WHC and its volunteers. I also am honored with the invitation to be involved and assist the Board of Directors as needed. |
