Katheryn Tuberty, Board Member

Katheryn was born and raised in Durango Colorado to a ranching family. Her Grandfather homesteaded about 2600 acres in southwest Colorado and started ranching cattle. She spent many of her summers helping out on the ranch, with her brothers helping move cattle and bucking bales while the girls helped with cooking and cleaning. The reward was being able to ride horses when the chores were completed.

Katheryn attended college at the University of Utah where she received a BS in Health Science. She  worked her way through school, working as a Nurse’s Aide in a nursing home and after working at a Health Maintenance Organization in Salt Lake for 4 years, she moved to California and got involved in Nursing Home Administration. Katheryn operated Nursing homes in Southern California and Northern California as a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. She met Dennis in Davis, CA where they were working on a Senior Care facility, he was building the facility and she was hired to market and run the facility.  Katheryn and Dennis were married in 1988. After more than 25 years in Long Term Care, (running Nursing Homes, doing marketing for Nursing Home pharmacies, labs and med surg companies and opening 2 Assisted Living Facilities in Vacaville) she left the industry and open a Farmers Insurance agency. She had her insurance business for 11 years and then retired in 2016. After Dennis retired they moved to Prescott Valley in 2019. Katheryn and Dennis have 2 grown daughters and have traveled extensively, including trips to France, Ireland, South Africa, Russia, Germany and Canada. She is a member of the Prescott Frontier Rotary Club and currently the President Elect. Katheryn fully understands the importance of preserving our western heritage and would be honored to serve on the Prescott Western Heritage Foundation Board of Directors.
