Pamela Kellog-Merkel, Board MemberPam sold furniture and flooring in stores and on the road. She was very successful because she believes that sales is 90% acting and 10% product knowledge.
She loves acting, performing, and public speaking! Pam also loves horses, antiques, old ghost and mining towns, and everything old west. Like many people, she feels that she was born in the wrong time-period! She is an idea person, and a writer of stories, plays, proposals, and articles. She is a collaborator and believes that is how you improve on ideas and create plans. Once an idea becomes a plan, she will also have suggestions on how to carry it to fruition. She is not ego-based, but results-based. Pam likes being part of a team! To sum up, she has ideas, detail oriented, energetic, hardworking, determined, self-disciplined, and she is told that she is fun! Pam is married and has two children and three grandchildren. She would like an opportunity to help make the Prescott Western Heritage Foundation and the Western Heritage Center grow and become even more dominant in the community than it is already! Pam has initiated an educational outreach project for 3rd and 4th grade students, scheduling field trips with tours of the Western Heritage Center. These field trips include speakers who talk about our history & heritage, lunch, a tour of the WHC, tour of the Courthouse Plaza, and gift bags as they leave. |
